When we grow in clay or ceramic pots, we have to make sure that we have a good system of sewer system. Therefore, if you are going to use Meliflor's ceramic pots directly to grow and not as pot covers, you we recommend drilling a hole in the base of the pot and filling the bottom of the pot with a little bit of gravel, balls of clay or any similar material that favors the escape of water.
Also, placing a saucer at the bottom of the pot will help ensure good drainage. The dish will collect excess water from the risks preventing the waste of water and nutrients, since that water is available to the plant as that need it.
