Volcanic Rock for Bonsai
11.12 €Volcanic rock or red pozzolan is a 100% natural product that is very effective for improving and conditioning the soil on which your plants will grow. It is a special substrate for Meliflor bonsai with which you will get a fertile and fresh soil where the roots will proliferate with little effort.

With the volcanic rock or red pozzolan you will obtain an inert and aerated substrate very appropriate for crops hydroponics. In other crops, add pozzolan rock to improve the substrate. You will increase your ability to retain water and nutrients, its sponginess and aeration of the substrate so that the roots develop much more strong.

Red pozzolan is characterized by having formed after a relatively rapid solidification process coupled with to strong degassing. This causes the rock to present a vitreous luster and irregular shapes with numerous pores, result of the volcanic gases that have come out through it. In fact, the porosity of the pozzolan red varies between 40 and 60% depending on the granulometry.
In addition, this volcanic rock is capable of absorbing up to 30% of its weight in water and still maintaining its shape
